Name of Organization:
The organization will be called Chicago Windows User Group, hereafter
referred to as CWUG.
|

ARTICLE
II
|

|
Mission Statement:
A community of individuals dedicated to making the users and administrators
of Windows products successful in their work, home and pleasure environments
through the sharing of ideas, best practices, information and research
and development.
Purpose:

To create a community of like minded individuals for swapping
of ideas, best practices and information around a Windows platform.

| To
provide a forum for the open exchange of ideas, information,
and news regarding Windows products and technologies. |
| To
promote the development of Windows end users, administrators,
and partners to be more productive, successful, and efficient. |
To
provide a channel for members to have a collective voice in
contributing input to vendors and Microsoft regarding future
directions of their products.

| To
assist members in choosing, installing, deploying, maintaining
and securing Windows based products. |
Scope of Activities:

 |
Meet
bi-monthly to promote and maintain open communication between
members.
|
 |
Sponsor
and provide formal and informal technical presentations on aspects
of Windows related products.
|
 |
Creation
of special interest groups (SIGs) to promote specific
areas for educate, ideas or concerns.
|
 |
Distribution
of a electronic monthly news letter promoting education, sponsors,
and ideas, best practices and a voice in the CWUG community.
|
 |
Creation
of a Web based CWUG portal, promoting the exchange of ideas,
an area to post questions, answer questions, deliver news feeds,
promote sponsors and create a web based Windows solution portal.
|
 |
Creation
of user e-mail accounts, and subscription to e-mail aliases
to ask and get questions answered.
|
 |
Create
special training groups focused on educated members on Windows
(Microsoft and Non-Microsoft based) certifications.
|
 |
Creation
of Windows based training for hands on lab to be delivered during
the Technical Meetings. |

ARTICLE
III
|
|
|
Membership:

Membership shall be open to all who are interested
|
Each
member shall be entitled to a single vote.
|
Members
may hold only one office at a time.
|
|

ARTICLE
IV
|
|

Officers:
A chairperson, vice-chairperson, secretary, sergeant and treasurer
will serve as the executive officers and will govern the group.
For the first term of 6 months (June 2003 to December 2003) The
executive officers will be determined by the founders of the CAWUG.
During the December 2003 meeting and every December meeting there
after the executive officers will be elected by a majority vote
of members attending a business meeting with an officer election
